About DTI Mysore:-
District Training Institute, Mysore was established in the year 1974 under Administrative Training Institute. The institute was set up for the purpose of imparting training to the Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees of the State Government who work in Mysore District. The institute comprises of The Principal under whom Vice Principal, Instructors and other employees function. At present, it is located at Nazarbad which is filled with lush green environment and a pleasant ambience which gives a noise free and complacent atmosphere for conduction of training.
The Institute comprises of office, three training halls, one computer lab.Also there are 20well-furnished hostels and a canteen facility for the benefit of trainees. As per the directions from the State Government, it is planned to set up Video Conference studio to implement e-Governance at the Institute which is under progress.
Three types of training will be organized at District Training Institute, Mysore. Firstly, annually planned training programme, secondly- sponsored training programmeand lastly demand based training as per the requirement of Department/Boards.In addition to this, District Training Institute has been tied up with Abdul Nazeer Saab State Institute for Rural Development & Extension Training Centre is functioning. Hence, the training requirement for State Institute for Rural Development is also being fulfilled by District Training Institute,Mysore.
Training is imparted to the Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees. In this training, topics such as General Administration, Financial Matters, Treasury Department applications such as HRMS and Khajane-2, e-governance, personality development, empowerment of women and also other timelyprojects implemented by the Government of Karnataka will be conducted.
For the year 2019-20, a total of 45 training programmes have been organized. Discussion/Meeting with respect to the annual calendar will be held with the Managing Committee and later willbe approved by the District Commissioner of Mysore. But, prior to this, requirement with regard to all the departments will be taken into consideration and then the annual calendar will be prepared which helps us to conduct training successfully. Sometimes, our Institute is chosen by the State Government to conductspecial training to the district level personnel which is a matter of pride to our esteemed Institute.
